Job summary

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust invites applicants to join a two-year apprenticeship to train as a Registered Pharmacy Technician. You will study for a BTEC Level 3 Diploma while working across multiple pharmacy areas, gaining hands-on experience in dispensaries, procurement, clinical trials, and medicines management.

You will rotate between West Middlesex University Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, receive in-house practical training, and work toward becoming

• Willing to follow a training programme combining study and practical work.
• Able to commit up to 10 hours per week for private study.
• Demonstrates patient-focused approach and good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Rotate across Inpatients Dispensary, Outpatients Dispensary, Distribution, Goods Receipt & Purchasing, Technical Services, Clinical Trials, Medicines Management, Medicines Information and Clinical Governance sections.
• Support Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in day-to-day duties and in manufacturing sterile products.
• Contribute to safe medicine supply and medicines management for patients.
