Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) in Newbury is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role offers a pathway to become a registered Pharmacy Technician with on-the-job training and blended coursework.

You will work toward the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship, with potential for full-time employment on successful completion. Training integrates practical experience with learning to support patient safety.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English are desirable; the course can provide Maths/English if needed.
• Maths and English Level 2 may be required or tested to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.
• Providing person-centred advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines.
• Supporting day-to-day running of the pharmacy, stock control and governance.
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role.
• Assisting with training and mentoring new staff members.
• Maintaining high standards through auditing and feedback responses.
