Job summary

Skills4 Pharmacy in Newbury is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy team. The role aims to develop skills to become a registered Pharmacy Technician through the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship.

You will support safe, effective supply of medicines, work closely with pharmacists, and progress within the apprenticeship with potential for full-time employment after completion.

Qualifications

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines safely and accurately.
Providing person-centred advice to patients on prescriptions and OTC medicines.
Supporting day-to-day running of the pharmacy including stock control and governance.
Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress.
Assisting with training and mentoring new staff members.
Maintaining high standards through auditing and responding to feedback.
