Job summary

Skills4Group in Keighley is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to support a busy pharmacy team and progress toward becoming a registered Pharmacy Technician. The role offers on-the-job training with Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship and possible full-time employment after completion.

You will handle medicines safely, provide advice to patients, and develop skills within a supportive healthcare team. The program combines blended learning with practical work.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided through the course.
• Maths & English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications may be required; tests determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.
• Providing person-centred advice to patients on prescription and OTC medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate.
• Supporting day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance.
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role.
• Assisting with training and mentoring new staff members.
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback.
