Job summary

The Pharmacy Technician Apprentice role in Sholing offers hands-on training within a busy community pharmacy. You will support pharmacists, learn to dispense medicines safely, and progress toward registration as a Pharmacy Technician.

The program includes a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship, blended learning, and on‑the‑job supervision. Ideal for those starting a career in pharmacy who want a nationally recognised qualification while earning a wage.

Qualifications

GCSEs at A-C (Maths and English) preferred.
Maths/English Level 2 required or tests may be provided.
Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship training provided.

Responsibilities

Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines safely and accurately.
Providing person-centred advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate.
Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance.
Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role.
Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff.
Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback.
