Job summary

MEDS PHARMA LTD in Peterborough is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team and progress toward becoming a registered Pharmacy Technician. The role supports safe, lawful supply of medicines while working with pharmacists and the healthcare team.

Training blends on-the-job learning with a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship, with working hours Mon-Fri 9am-6pm and Sat 9am-1pm, over approximately 2 years and 3 months.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (4–9) required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.
• Providing person-centred advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals when appropriate.
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance.
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role.
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff.
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback.
