Job summary

Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in Weymouth is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to support safe supply of medicines while training under pharmacists and healthcare colleagues. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

You will complete Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Level 3 training, with blended learning and the chance to register with the GPhC on completion,

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English.
• Interest in pharmacy and healthcare.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills.
• Commitment to full apprenticeship duration.

Responsibilities

• Manage, order, receive and supply medicines safely and accurately.
• Provide patient advice on prescriptions and OTC medicines.
• Support day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including stock control.
• Supervise and mentor new staff as you progress.
• Assist with training and auditing to maintain high standards.
