Job summary

Huddersfield Royal Infirmary in Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Higher Level Pharmacy Technician to manage medicines, perform accredited accuracy checking on wards and in the dispensary, and provide patient counselling across ward and dispensary settings.

Permanent role with flexible hours (full-time, part-time or flexible) and Band 5 salary £32,073 to £39,043 per year pro rata, closing 11 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Registered pharmacy technician working at (or towards) the top level of the medicines management competency framework, with accredited checking experience.
• Experience in medicines management, accuracy checking and patient counselling.

Responsibilities

• Handle medicines management, accuracy checking on wards and in the dispensary.
• Counsel patients on their medicines and work across primary and secondary care.
