A leading healthcare provider in Wrexham is seeking a proactive Pharmacy Support Worker to join the Integrated Health Community team. The role focuses on managing medication supplies in community hospitals and supporting the wider pharmacy team. Applicants should ideally possess a GCSE in maths and English, NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Service Skills, and have experience in a pharmacy environment. This position includes weekend and bank holiday work on a rota basis.

We are looking to recruit a forward thinking Pharmacy Assistant, based in the Integrated Health Community (IHC) for the East area of BCUHB. This exciting role will involve working within the Primary Care and Community services team and the wider IHC, supporting a team of Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians in the community hospitals and GP practices, to manage medicine supplies, help ensure patients safety and improve patient outcomes. You will need to be motivated, and passionate about patient care, be able to move between bases and have excellent communication skills to work with healthcare teams across the locality.
The postholder will work closely with acute sector, primary care and community pharmacy colleagues and based in the Community Services Team the focus of the roles will be to manage the medicines supplies (both acutely and ongoing) for the patients in East community hospitals.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
This is a higher-level Pharmacy Assistant role and will be ideal for a person looking to develop their skills and knowledge within an exciting and constantly developing area of pharmacy.
The main duties within this role include:
