Job summary

Mersey and West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Pharmacy assistant to join the team. The post involves rotating between pharmacy stores and hospital dispensaries, and participating in evening, weekend and bank holiday rotas.

You will assist in receiving prescriptions, booking in orders and assembling medicines for ward distribution. Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Service Skills or GPhC recognised equivalent qualification.
• GCSE level education would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Participate in ATO rota across stores, dispensaries, and wards.
• Assist in receipt of prescriptions.
• Support ward and clinic pharmaceutical services to maintain/dispense medicines.
• Assist in booking in and auditing prescriptions using current software.
• Prepare and assemble medicines for ward distribution.
