Job summary

Ashford and St. Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Support Assistant for St Peter's Hospital. You will help supply medicines to wards, clinics and outpatient areas and assist at the pharmacy hatch as the first point of contact for staff and visitors.

Working 37.5 hours weekly on a permanent contract, you will rotate through dispensary, wards and distribution, support Pharmacists, and uphold high professional standards in line with GPhC guidance.

Qualifications

• Good command of written and oral English.
• Computer/IT literate.

Responsibilities

• The post holder will support Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists in all sections of the Pharmacy on a rotational basis including dispensary, wards and distribution.
• Carry out duties supervised by qualified staff and contribute to development of pharmacy services.
• Promote high standards of professional practice in line with GPhC guidance.
• Follow SOPs, COSHH and lifting/handling regulations and Trust policies.
