About the role:

Our community pharmacies play a key part in caring for the health and wellbeing of our customers. As the largest Co-operative Pharmacy group, our pharmacies offer so much more than just exceptional customer service! From prescriptions and flu vaccines to podiatry, we’re passionate about looking after the health needs of our patients.

Joining us as either a Pharmacy Services Assistant or Dispensing Technician, you’ll be joining an enthusiastic and hardworking team of colleagues that work together to make a positive difference to the lives of their patients. Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering exceptional customer service, providing health advice and services to our patients through engaging conversations. Ensuring that every customer leaves the pharmacy feeling informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
  • Keeping the shop floor fully stocked and ready for customers through accepting and working deliveries and completing stock takes.
  • Delivering the technical aspects of the dispensary, ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, and supporting prescription collection.
  • Assisting with sales and general store duties, including creating product displays and handling cash transactions.

The working days for this role are Monday 9:00am to 5:40pm, Tuesday 9:00am to 1:00pm, Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm, and alternate Saturdays 9:00am to 12:30pm.

  • An upbeat, caring, and confident manner when advising patients.
  • An enthusiasm for problem solving and eagerness to learn new challenges.
  • A methodical and accurate approach to tasks, using initiative and teamwork.
  • Experience in retail and stock control systems is desirable but not essential, as full training is provided.
  • Applicants should have their Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant qualification or Level 3 Dispensary qualification.
