Job summary

Skills4 Pharmacy in Sunderland is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support day-to-day pharmacy operations and work towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship. The role offers full training and the chance to earn while you learn.

You will assist with counter services, prescription preparation under supervision, stock handling, and ensure accurate records. Blended learning is provided over typically 15 months, with contracted hours and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English are desirable but not essential as part of the course.
• Applicants may be tested on Maths and English Level 2 to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Support the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
