Job summary

Weis Markets in Lancaster is seeking a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department. You will perform prescription data entry, patient and prescriber searches, insurance billing, label creation, and ensure accurate processing of new and refill prescriptions in accordance with state laws.

Responsibilities include inventory management, maintaining a clean work area, and assisting with paperwork and pharmacy operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 600 practical hours in retail/pharmacy operations or equivalent experience.
• Ability to perform prescription data entry and basic problem resolution.
• Experience with customer service in a retail or pharmacy setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform data entry of prescription information including patient search, prescriber search, drug selection, and insurance billing.
• Process new and refill prescriptions and obtain refill authorization when required by state law.
• Retrieve medications from inventory and label/dispense them in compliance with state laws.
