Job summary

Nova Scotia Health is seeking a Pyxis Support Registered Pharmacy Technician to manage the Pyxis automated dispensing cabinet system across Central Zone. You will monitor usage, support nursing and pharmacy teams, and troubleshoot hardware and software issues in collaboration with the Pharmacy Information Systems team.

Responsibilities include coordinating new equipment installations, applying software upgrades, and delivering education sessions to staff.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized Pharmacy Technology Program (accredited preferred) or equivalent experience.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
• Licensure and registration in Nova Scotia as a Pharmacy Technician (NSPR) required.
• Able to travel to all sites within Central Zone, required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Pyxis automated dispensing cabinet system to ensure safe and effective use by nursing and pharmacy.
• Monitor Pyxis system and troubleshoot hardware/software issues in collaboration with Pyxis Application Specialists and engineers.
• Coordinate new equipment installations and software/hardware upgrades.
• Provide education sessions and training to staff on Pyxis usage.
