We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, and hardworking individuals to join our Children’s ED team. You must be able to work well under pressure and have a willingness to learn and develop your skills. The successful candidate will be expected to provide the highest standard of evidence-based, patient-centered care. You will have a passion for education, training, and staff development, which ultimately impacts patient outcomes. Our busy Children's Emergency Departments cover two sites - Queens Hospital in Romford and King George's Hospital in Goodmayes. We deliver a comprehensive range of general Paediatric and Surgical Services to our local communities. These are among the busiest Children's EDs in the country, and we are always looking to build our team to provide the best service possible. Our CED team is expanding, supporting your learning and development while ensuring your skills are kept up to date. You will be supported by our Senior Sisters, Matron, and the wider MDT team. We know that happy, motivated staff produce patient satisfaction, so we're committed to making our hospitals a great place to work.

We operate from two main sites - King George Hospital (KGH) in Goodmayes and Queen’s Hospital in Romford. We have two of the busiest emergency departments in London, with over 300,000 visits in 2023. Patients across northeast London benefit from two new state-of-the-art theatres at KGH and our Community Diagnostic Centres at Barking Community Hospital and St George’s Health and Wellbeing Hub. An electronic patient record system will be introduced next year, enabling accessible records across our hospitals, simplifying processes for staff, and improving patient care.
