Job summary

The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Procurement & Homecare Assistant (Band 2) at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton. The role is part-time (32 hours per week) with late nights and weekends on a rotational basis to ensure medicines are ordered, received, and supplied safely and efficiently.

You will provide administrative and operational support to the Pharmacy Homecare, high cost drugs and procurement team.

Qualifications

• 2 GCSEs (including Maths and English)
• NVQ 2 Pharmaceutical Science
• Pharmacy experience and data input

Responsibilities

• Process pharmacy orders and raise purchase orders
• Receive and check deliveries of medicines and pharmacy-related products
• Assist with stock management and replenishment
• Support safe and efficient supply of medicines via homecare
• Process homecare prescriptions and documentation
• Liaise with homecare companies, wholesalers and suppliers
• Respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally
• Maintain records on pharmacy systems and spreadsheets
• File and process documentation per procedures
• Assist with invoice checking and resolving queries
• Escalate discrepancies or delays to the Pharmacy team
• Maintain confidentiality and information governance compliance
• Support general admin duties within Pharmacy Procurement and Homecare
• Work flexibly to support the wider Pharmacy service
