Job summary

University of Bath is recruiting for a part-time, fixed-term maternity cover (0.5FTE) to contribute to Advanced Programmes in Pharmacy Practice and Therapeutics (AP3T). The role focuses on delivering the Advanced Clinical Assessment or Independent Prescribing units and may support other courses within the department, teaching postgraduate pharmacists.

You will join an experienced team, combining clinical expertise with teaching to deliver high-quality education, assessment and pastoral support

Qualifications

The successful individual would be a registered and practicing health professional (e.g. medic, nurse or pharmacist) who is highly competent in prescribing.
Experience in physical examination of patients is desirable but not essential.
Practical teaching experience ideally underpinned by postgraduate education, with familiarity with face-to-face learning - including assessment - as well as distance learning and learning in the virtual environment.

Responsibilities

Cover a range of face to face and online teaching activities and support assessment, evaluation and pastoral support for students.
Deliver the Advanced Clinical Assessment or Independent Prescribing units and may contribute to other courses across the department.
Support the teaching of postgraduate pharmacists across units.
