The University of Bath and Plymouth have collaborated to deliver the new MPharm at Plymouth. We are recruiting a part-time Lecturer in Experiential Learning to join the Plymouth-based MPharm teaching team, delivering practice-based learning and assessing students.

This role offers hybrid working, up to 0.6 FTE, with occasional travel to Bath. You will collaborate with Bath colleagues and contribute to the running of the department.

• Track record of delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment, ideally with experience of supporting practice based learning
• Ability to support individual learners with the provision of excellent pastoral care
• A passion for this exciting and innovative project and producing the pharmacists of the future
• Ability and willingness to contribute to the day-to-day running of the department.

The Universities of Bath and Plymouth have collaborated with NHS England to establish a new School of Pharmacy located at the University of Plymouth.

The highly successful Bath MPharm is now being delivered on site in new purpose-built facilities at the University of Plymouth campus. In joining this unique collaborative approach to teaching pharmacy, you would be part of a growing team of staff as we continue to roll out the MPharm programme which started in September 2024. Staff teach across both the MPharm with a Preparatory year and the 4 year direct entry MPharm.

About the role:

We are recruiting a part-time Lecturer post in Experiential Learning (teaching-focussed) to be part of the Plymouth-based MPharm teaching team. You will provide high quality teaching and assessment on this new MPharm degree course, specifically supporting the delivery of practice based learning. You will be an excellent teacher and have a collegiate approach to working with academic and professional services colleagues. You will be joining a small but dynamic team based in Plymouth and will be expected to collaborate with colleagues at the University of Bath.

The University are willing to show flexibility in working practices and so applications from suitably qualified candidates seeking a role which offers hybrid working, full or part time working, job sharing and other forms of flexible employment are welcome. Please note, this role is based in Plymouth, although occasional travel to Bath will be required.

Additional information:
