Job summary

Wood County Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Intern for a part-time, on-site role. You will support safe, compliant preparation and distribution of medications under licensed pharmacists' supervision, with opportunities to apply academic knowledge and develop technical skills.

The position emphasizes adherence to pharmacy laws, proper documentation, and participation in daily pharmacy operations to support patient care.

Qualifications

Enrolled in an accredited School of Pharmacy (PharmD program).
Licensed Intern with Ohio Board of Pharmacy.
No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate knowledge of pharmacy laws and policies under supervision.
Assist in receiving, storing, packaging, labeling, and distributing medications with regulatory compliance.
Perform prescription label typing, compounding, and inventory management using pharmacy math and terminology.
Maintain accurate records for drug receipt, distribution, narcotics inventory and documentation.
Support the pharmacy team by following instructions and filling in for technicians as needed.
Help ensure a culture of safety and participate in medication deliveries.
