Job summary

OhioHealth's Mansfield Hospital seeks a part-time, casual Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to support daily dispensing and medication distribution under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. You will prepare/label medications, assist in stocking and record keeping, and help ensure accuracy and patient safety in a busy retail pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (Required).
• Must be at least 18 years of age (Required).
• Registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with the Ohio Board of Pharmacy (Required).
• Ability to gather and interpret data and explain instructions to staff and patients.
• Knowledge of compounding, pharmacy math, hospital pharmacy operations, medical terminology, and drug names.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in an interdisciplinary team.
• Adaptable to a busy retail pharmacy environment.

Responsibilities

• Interprets, prepares/compounds, labels, and distributes pharmacy products for patient use.
• May prepare IV medications and process non-monitored medication requests.
• Documents distribution of medication for proper use and reimbursement.
• Participates in stocking, record keeping, and process improvement activities.
• Under supervision of a Registered Pharmacist: prepare/compound therapies and ensure accuracy.
