Job summary

Boots UK in-store Dispenser role supports the pharmacist in delivering safe and efficient pharmacy services. You’ll dispense prescriptions, advise patients, and help manage medicines while following SOPs to ensure safety and compliance.

Based in the UK, the role involves building relationships with patients, working with the broader health team, and offering ongoing career development opportunities. The hourly rate ranges £13.92–£16.64 with UK-wide guidance.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions with reliable repeats and adherence.
