Job summary

Boots in the United Kingdom is seeking an in-store Dispenser to support the pharmacist and healthcare team in dispensing prescriptions and advising patients on medicines. You will operate within the pharmacy section, build patient relationships, and ensure safe sale of medicines while following SOPs.

The role requires NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor (or equivalent) and progress toward an MPharm; a valid UK right to work is essential. Remote work is not available, and sponsorship is not offered.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor qualification (or equivalent)
• Currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines
• Work with other healthcare professionals to assist in delivery of pharmacy services
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions
• Stay up to date with new innovations and comply with SOPs
• Help patients manage prescriptions, repeats, and adherence to reduce waste
