Job summary

Boots UK in the United Kingdom is seeking a Dispenser to support the pharmacist and healthcare team in-store. You will dispense prescriptions, advise patients on medicines, and help ensure safe, effective pharmacy services within the store’s healthcare department.

The role is based in-store in the UK; remote applications are not considered. A pre-employment check may include DBS/ PVG depending on location, and Boots is a Ban the Box employer.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or are currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering medicines, labelling, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
• Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and ensure adherence to reduce waste.
