Job summary

Boots in the UK is looking for a Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team. You will assist the Pharmacist, dispense prescriptions, label medicines and provide patient advice, helping ensure safe, accurate pharmacy services and great customer care.

The role is in-store in the UK; applicants must have NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor or be on track for MPharm, with valid UK right to work. Training and progression options include Pharmacy Technician training and store leadership pathways.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor qualification or currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, endorsing and collection).
• Collaborate with store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations and comply with SOPs and processes.
• Assist patients to manage prescriptions and repeats to promote adherence and reduce waste.

Education

Pharmacy NVQ2 (or equivalent) / MPharm (1st year)
