Job summary

Boots in the UK seeks a Dispenser to join our store-based pharmacy team. You will dispense prescriptions, support the pharmacist, and provide patient guidance to promote safe medicine use. This in-store role offers training and pathways toward becoming a Pharmacy Technician or taking on leadership responsibilities.

Ideal candidates hold NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor (or are pursuing MPharm Year 1) with UK right to work. Community pharmacy experience is a bonus.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or are currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
• Work with store healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and comply with processes.
• Assist patients in managing repeats and medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste.
