Job summary

Boots is hiring a pharmacy dispenser to support the in-store pharmacy team. You will dispense prescriptions, advise patients, and work with pharmacists to deliver safe, effective healthcare services. The role emphasizes patient safety, adherence, and efficient medicine management.

The position is UK-based, in-store, with progression opportunities including technician training and leadership pathways, and requires NVQ2 or current MPharm progress plus valid right to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor qualification completed (or currently pursuing; first year of MPharm).
• Current and valid UK right to work; no sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring safe supply of medicines.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in-store to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and guidance to pharmacists as needed.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and operational processes.
• Help patients manage repeats and medications to promote adherence and reduce waste.
