About the Role

Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, which involves a variety of shift patterns. If you're looking for flexible working to fit around your lifestyle, this role can accommodate that. We will work with you on your shifts, but weekend working is a requirement, and flexibility with your work pattern may be needed.
Our in-store pharmacies are popular with customers, who expect the same warmth and friendliness as in other parts of the store. You should be confident and relaxed discussing personal health issues, resolving customer problems quickly, and guiding customers to the right products.
Your responsibilities include accurately assembling and processing prescriptions, promoting pharmacy services (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews), supporting the Pharmacist with patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes), and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures to meet customer expectations. Additionally, you'll collect prescriptions from doctors' surgeries and bring them to the store for collection.
We will support your professional development through an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months, followed by training as a Dispensing Assistant, advancing your pharmacy career.

You are naturally friendly, highly organized, and eager to work with your team to deliver excellent results. You possess good computer skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You enjoy problem-solving, are passionate about helping people, and care about providing a great healthcare experience by assisting customers in finding what they need and engaging in friendly conversations.
