Under the direct supervision of the Director or designee, the Pharmacy Associate I will function as a team member for the client programs within Clinical Pharmacy Services (CPS). CPS is responsible for administering client-specific programs to provide clinical expertise regarding our members' medications. This position will handle calls with members, prescribers, and pharmacists to provide and obtain information regarding client-specific initiatives. The incumbent of this position will assist in the sorting of medication prior authorization requests, under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist.
REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Graduate or GED
REQUIRED WORK EXPERIENCE: Some pharmacy related experience.
PREFERRED EDUCATION: Licensed Certificate, active unrestricted MA Pharmacy Technician License.
PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE: Effective communication and interpersonal skills; Attention to detail and organization; Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced call center environment; Ability to work well in a team; Computer Skills – Basic understanding of Word, Excel, Outlook.
