Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Band 3 Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer to support the pharmacy team in supplying medicines to wards, clinics and community settings. You will work under supervision to check stock, receive deliveries and assist with dispensing.

You will follow SOPs, maintain stock control, input prescriptions into the computer system and communicate with patients and clinical staff to ensure timely medicine supply.

Qualifications

• Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) level 2.
• Hold at least 4 GCSEs at least grade C (or equivalent) including maths & English.
• Experience dispensing medicines in a pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily ward stock supply including controlled drugs.
• Receive deliveries, check stock and receipt.
• Dispense medicines under supervision and assist with prescriptions.
• Input prescription data into the pharmacy computer system.
• Communicate with patients and staff to ensure medicine supply.
