Furness General Hospital Pharmacy department is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to become part of our team.
You must be able to work as a team member and on an individual basis. Although pharmacy experience is not essential for this position, you must be willing to work towards an NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
Hours of work are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 13:00 to 18:00, with participation in rotational weekend and bank holiday rotas.
The main duties involve working in a busy pharmacy department to ensure a safe and effective service is provided. Responsibilities include the safe and efficient delivery of medication to wards and departments, adhering to legislation, standards, and procedures. Additional duties may include packing, relabeling, replenishing emergency drug boxes, expiry date checks, reception duties, stock maintenance, stock rotation, tidying, cleaning, and waste disposal.
