Job summary

Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to join the Stores/Reception team in the Pharmacy department. This permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours) offers a supportive environment within a busy hospital pharmacy, with training provided and opportunities to contribute to patient care and efficient dispensing services.

Key duties include handling pharmaceutical supplies in Stores, ward top-ups, and reception duties with patient-focused service.

Qualifications

  • GPHC Approved L2 Pharmacy Qualification (or willingness to work towards).
  • GCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent
  • Team focused, and able to complete tasks independently.

What You’ll Need:

GPHC Approved L2 Pharmacy Qualification (or willingness to work towards).

GCSEs in English and Maths, or equivalent

Team focussed, and able to complete tasks independently

Previous hospital experience is not essential, as full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Dispensary Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Support the receipt, processing, and provision of pharmaceutical supplies in the Stores department.

Handle busy enquiry lines

Contribute to a safe and efficient pharmacy service for patients.

Qualifications
  • GCSE C or above in maths and English language or equivalent grade C (4) or above
  • GPHC Approved L2 Pharmacy Qualification.
Experience
  • Experience of working in a pharmacy environment
  • Stores work
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of stock control and need for confidentiality
  • Careful and accurate worker
