Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy in Wigston is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support day-to-day pharmacy operations and customer service. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Responsibilities include assisting with prescriptions under supervision, stock handling, and using pharmacy systems while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship - [Wigston]

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
