Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) in Newborough is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join our busy community pharmacy team. You will support day-to-day operations and gain hands-on experience while studying for a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

You will complete the apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training provided. The position involves customer service at the counter, stock handling, and assisting with prescription processing under supervision.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desirable but training can be provided.
• Willingness to complete the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.

Job description

Working Week: 32 hours within opening hours, Saturday 9-1 on a rota.

Brief Description

PE6 7RG We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
