Job summary

Holland on Sea Pharmacy invites applications for a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice. You will work in a busy community pharmacy, training on the job while completing a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

You will gain hands-on experience in prescription counter services, stock control, and public health tasks, with full training and support provided. This 15-month apprenticeship offers earning while learning in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 qualifications, tests will determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries.
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision).
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records.
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.

Brief Description

CO15 5UH We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role
