Job summary

Skills4Pharmacy in Ilford is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will learn on the job while gaining a nationally recognised apprenticeship qualification.

No previous pharmacy experience is required as full training is provided, and you will support day-to-day pharmacy operations, assist customers, and help with stock management in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but can be provided via the course.
• Applicants without Maths/English Level 2 may need to complete initial tests.
• Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 apprenticeship training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.

Brief Description

IG5 0LQ We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
