Job summary

Skills4Group in Ilford is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will learn on the job while working towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, with full training provided.

No prior pharmacy experience is required; GCSEs in Maths and English are preferred. You will support the medicines counter, assist with prescriptions under supervision, handle stock and learn pharmacy systems while earning a nationally recognised qualification.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as training can be provided.
• Applicants without Maths/English Level 2 may complete initial tests to determine suitability for the course.

Brief Description

IG5 0LQ We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
