Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice in Crook to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will train on the job while pursuing a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, with full support provided by the employer and training provider.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, processing prescriptions under supervision, managing stock and using pharmacy systems, all while upholding safety and confidentiality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English desired but not essential; course can provide.
• Maths/English Level 2 tests may be required to determine suitability.
• No pharmacy experience required; full training provided.

Job description

Brief Description

DL15 9HU. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
