Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice in Cheadle. You will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, help customers and work closely with the team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship while working, with full training and support provided. The role offers full-time hours and on-site work in a healthcare setting, with comprehensive development opportunities.

Qualifications

• [Cheadle] About the role As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include: Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision) Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service What we’re looking for: A genuine interest in healthcare and working with people Strong communication and customer service skills Good attention to detail and willingness to learn Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment Reliable, punctual and professional Basic IT skills No previous pharmacy experience is required full training is provided.

Working Week Mon-Fri 9am-6pm Sat 9am-1pm Qualifications Required GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Future Prospects This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
