Job summary

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C (or 4-9) in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• Maths/English Level 2 tests may be required for suitability for the course.
• Full training provided for those without pharmacy experience.

Responsibilities

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
