Job summary

A hospital outpatient pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Assistant to join their team. Your responsibilities will include dispensing medication, stock management, and invoicing. The ideal candidate will have an NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services and experience in a customer-focused setting. This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday work pattern.

Overview

Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? Have you considered working in a hospital outpatient pharmacy? Rowlands Pharmacy are currently looking for an experienced NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services to work as a Pharmacy Assistant in the {Branch Name} hospital pharmacy. You will participate in all branch processes and establish relationships with customers, patients, healthcare professionals and Trust colleagues.

Responsibilities
  • Dispensing medication on outpatient prescriptions.
  • Stock ordering and management.
  • Invoicing and financing deliveries.
  • All other duties associated with working in a busy outpatient pharmacy.
Qualifications
  • NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or an accredited equivalent course.
  • Medi­cine Counter Assistant (MCA) qualification.
  • Evidence of qualifications held will be required for the successful candidate.
  • Experience in a customer-focused environment, a strong understanding of confidentiality, and the ability to handle medications accurately.

  • Able to demonstrate self-motivation with good interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to prioritise workload and work to deadlines.

Working Pattern
