Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) seeks a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will learn on the job while working toward the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include helping customers at the counter, assisting with prescriptions under supervision, handling stock, and using pharmacy software.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English; these may be provided as part of the course.
• Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications preferred; if not, tests determine suitability.
• No prior pharmacy experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with medicines counter duties and customer queries
• Support preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain records
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintain cleanliness, safety and confidentiality
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent service
