Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy in the United Kingdom is offering a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice role to support day-to-day pharmacy operations and assist customers. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support provided.

The role includes stocking, processing prescriptions under supervision, using pharmacy systems, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. Training is delivered alongside the job, with a 15‑month commitment and blended learning.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C (4-9) in Maths and English preferred.
• No prior pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
• Apprenticeship duration around 15 months.
• Training to be provided: Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.
• Working week: 9-6 Mon-Fri.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries
• Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain records
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
