Salary

The hourly rate for this role is £12.69 and up to £14.05 across selected locations within London.

Exceptional patient-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you'll help patients feel good through clear advice, care, and a wide range of dispensing services.

You will work across the healthcare counter and dispensary, focusing on patients' needs. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your pharmacy career and make a positive impact on patients' lives.

Daily Responsibilities

Providing health advice through focused conversations and delivering accurate answers.

Your duties will include:
  1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
  2. Handling technical dispensary tasks such as ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  3. Ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards in Boots.
  4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
  5. Maintaining efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Pharmacy Services and previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is required, with support provided for training if not already completed.

Opportunities for professional development include achieving NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services, leading to eligibility to register with GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician and potentially advancing to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role.
