Role Responsibilities

1. Checking the accuracy of dispensed medicines, verifying patient details, medication type, dosage, labelling, and packaging.
2. Reporting medication errors or incidents promptly.
3. Providing clinical checks to ensure safety and appropriateness of prescribed medication.
4. Conducting regular audits of the dispensary and stock levels.
5. Supervising pharmacy assistants to ensure proper dispensing procedures.
6. Maintaining documentation and records of tasks undertaken.
7. Guiding and training pharmacy staff, sharing knowledge and expertise.
8. Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and practices.
9. Supporting the Pharmacist with patient services and record-keeping (e.g., blood pressure checks, smoking cessation schemes).
10. Promoting awareness of pharmacy services (e.g., Blood Pressure, New Medicine Service).
11. Understanding and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures.

Candidate Profile

You should be friendly, organized, detail-oriented, with good computer and communication skills. Ability to work under pressure, problem-solve, and understand regulatory standards are essential. A passion for customer service and healthcare is important.
