Job summary

Asda Colchester is seeking an ACDA (Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Dispensing Assistant) to join our in-store pharmacy team. You will check dispensing accuracy, verify patient details, and support the Pharmacist with regulatory compliance and records.

Working 36 hours on days, permanent contract, with weekend shifts required. NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services/Dispensing Assistant and 6 months pharmacy experience are expected. We offer a 15% colleague discount and pension, plus wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• You will need good computer skills.
• Strong communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Check the accuracy of dispensed medicines and verify patient details.
• Report medication errors or incidents promptly.
• Perform final accuracy checks of items checked by a Pharmacist.
• Audit the dispensary and stock levels; supervise staff.
• Maintain documentation and training of pharmacy staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Support Pharmacist with patient services (BP checks, stop smoking).
• Promote additional pharmacy services offered by Asda.
