Job summary

HeliosX is seeking a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician to join our Pharmacy team at our Leamington Spa warehouse. You will perform final accuracy checks on dispensed medicines, ensuring the right medicine, strength, patient and label for every item.

This full-time role operates on a 4 days on, 4 days off cycle from 10am to 10pm, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to patient safety in a fast-paced online pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• ACT qualification or Pharmacy Technician qualification with ACT accreditation.
• Active registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Experience in a pharmacy environment (community, online, or dispensing pharmacy).
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform final accuracy checks on dispensed medicines against prescriptions.
• Identify discrepancies, near misses or safety concerns and report promptly.
• Check labelling, quantity, strength, expiry dates and patient details for every item.
• Maintain records of checks for governance and audit purposes.
• Contribute to a culture of learning by reporting errors and near misses.
