Job summary
UNSW is seeking an Associate Lecturer / Lecturer (Education Focused) to deliver high-quality pharmacology teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programs. This hands-on role emphasizes practical teaching experience and commitment to student learning with guidance from senior academics.
At Level A you will teach, assess, and support learning activities; at Level B you will design and deliver courses with greater independence and assume Course Authority responsibilities.
Qualifications
- PhD in Pharmacology or related discipline or relevant work experience.
- Stays up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
- Experience in teaching and learning design, development and delivery at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
- Knowledge of educational technologies and online delivery methods.
- Strong commitment to work-integrated learning (desirable).
- Experience engaging students and fostering independent learning through meaningful assessment and feedback.
- Evidence of and/or preparedness to undertake professional development of teaching practice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver classes and assess student learning.
- Support development of learning activities, resources and assessments.
- Contribute to course administration and quality assurance.
- Support student progression and learning experiences across courses.
