Job summary

NHS Forth Valley invites an ambitious pharmacist leader to join its Pharmacy Leadership Team as Pharmacist Team Manager Medicines Optimisation & Digital. You will lead medicines optimisation and digital pharmacy initiatives across primary, secondary and integrated health and social care services.

This role shapes the Medicines Optimisation Strategy and digital agenda, harnessing data and AI to improve patient care, and guiding the Hospital Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration

Qualifications

• Member of the PVG scheme (or willing to undergo checks)
• Experience leading medicines optimisation projects and digital pharmacy services
• Strong track record in service improvement and transformational change
• Experience of medicines governance and quality improvement
• Strong interest in digital healthcare, informatics or data-enabled transformation
• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills
• Ability to lead across organisational boundaries and unite teams around a shared vision

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of medicines optimisation agenda across system partners
• Develop innovative approaches to medicines safety, effectiveness and value
• Shape the future direction of digital pharmacy services
• Harness data, analytics and emerging technologies to improve patient care
• Support introduction of new medicines, prescribing technologies and digital solutions
• Influence local, regional and national medicines optimisation and digital health developments
