Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB) North Wales is seeking a Pharmacist Team Leader for the Surgical Directorate in IHC East. The post is fixed term/secondment until 14 February 2027, and applicants should obtain permission from their current line manager before applying.

The role requires leading a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement a high-quality clinical pharmacy service, with responsibilities spanning strategic planning, policy development and clinical governance

Qualifications

Registered pharmacist with GPhC.
Masters degree or equivalent in pharmacy.
Post-graduate diploma/MSc in relevant pharmacy area.
Experience in leading pharmacy services and management.

Responsibilities

Strategically lead and develop a high-quality clinical pharmacy service in the Surgical Directorate.
Represent pharmacy on drugs and therapeutics committees and policies groups.
Develop a strategic vision and roadmap for pharmacy services within the directorate.
Ensure the safe and effective use of medicines in the Surgical Directorate.
Lead and manage the pharmacy clinical team in the division.
Act as link pharmacist to clinical networks across BCUHB.
Welsh language ability is desirable; English/Welsh speakers welcome.
